5 Mistakes to Avoid in Getting Office Cleaning Services

Offices need to be kept neat and clean, as the working force can only increase productivity in a conducive environment. For the same reasons, cleaning services and private janitors are hired. The employers or the managers need to be careful in availing office cleaning in Perth, as most of the monetary and non-monetary threats are connected to it. Offices that readily host a number of people are more exposed to thefts, in which the janitors can play a significant role. Following are the tips to avoid the mistakes one can commit in hiring such a service.

1. Appointing non professional cleaners

Incompetent and non-professional cleaners are found everywhere, as they don’t have the skills to work in an area for long. Offices and corporate premises are evaluated by the cleaning standards they retain for their employees, guests and clients. And, such demands can’t be met by a person who is neither a professional nor loyal to the work he or she is assigned. They are in the field for a short period of time to make earnings and leave as soon as other opportunities are available.

2. Hiring a company without negotiating terms

Janitorial companies have specific terms and conditions, which may cost you higher if you don’t negotiate with them while appointing them. Pay special attention to the policies and conditions that are written in small font and can’t be read clearly. Negotiate amount you have to pay each month and put a few conditions of your own for repayment if they don’t adhere to the quality standards.

3. Leaving confidential documents open

Trade secrets, financial records and other confidential documents form part the primary assets of a company. You have to be cautious in managing such documents and place them in lockers. In the corporate world, the competition is at peak and the cleaning staff can be used for leaking the important documents, which may reveal your trade secrets or hidden agreements. Have lockers on site or nearest bank that has the facility to keep your documents secure.

4. Easy access to the rooms

You may own assets that may seem to you scrap, but its replacement could cost more than buying them new. Computers, laptops, multimedia and lots of other electronic devices that are kept in an office and not monitored by a responsible person. To avoid unfavorable situation, restrict the access of cleaning staff in your absence and make sure they clean while most of the members are present in the office. It doesn’t mean that they have an eye on your valuables, but it’s better to be on the safe side.

5. Supervise them while cleaning

Professionals never need to be supervised by someone else to give their best whether its commercial or domestic cleaning in Perth. If your cleaners are not removing the dirt properly from the floors, bathrooms and kitchens, you need to supervise them either during or soon after they do the cleaning. It will enable you to find areas that are still dirty that could be cleaned again by them.
